So This is What Google Plus looks like

July 25, 2011

I have been using Google Plus for a few weeks now – a kind soul on one of my LinkedIn groups found a loophole to get around the limit on new users, and sent me an invite.

I am not a “techie” so I haven’t yet been trying out many of the fantastic add ons that people have been devising – some people’s ingenuity is amazing.

Because there are limited invites, there must be a lot of people wondering what on earth all the fuss is about – what does it look like, or, for those who have just started using it – what does it do?

In some respects Google Plus  is very simple and basic. The hardest thing to get your head around is the concept of circles, and who can see what. On another level, as I have said, people are devising all sorts of complicated ways to use it.

I have recorded a screencast showing you in a very basic sense what it looks like, and how I am using it – click here to view my Google Plus overview.

If I have got anything wrong, or you know of a better way to do something then please let me know – we are all learning  together.
